Strengthening our sisterly bonds remains at the heart of our chapter’s work. Through intentional connection, fellowship, and support, AGGO cultivates a nurturing environment where every member feels valued and engaged.

AKA Soror Squads
AGGO members participate in small, intentionally formed groups designed to deepen interpersonal connections and create a strong, dependable network of sisterly support.

AKA Pals
Members actively connect across geographic regions to foster unity, collaboration, and relationships that extend beyond chapter boundaries.
Random Acts of Sisterliness
Members engage in meaningful acts of kindness — including calls, texts, cards, hugs, and gifts — that strengthen emotional bonds. Monthly sisterliness challenges encourage members to celebrate one another and cultivate deeper connections throughout the year.
“We Are One” AKA Service Day
AGGO demonstrates its commitment to service by supporting local organizations such as The GLOWW Center, which serves single-mother families, and Here for the Girls, Inc. , which empowers women under 50 navigating breast cancer diagnoses.
Leadership Development
Through the AGGO Chapter Retreat and engagement with the Mid-Atlantic Preparatory Platform (MAPP), members are encouraged to pursue leadership opportunities and develop the skills needed to serve their communities with excellence.
Empower Our Families
Strengthening Households and Uplifting Communities
​Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (CHIPP)
AGGO collaborates with Magruder Elementary School to provide weekend and holiday meal packs for students experiencing food insecurity.
Youth Leadership Institute (YLI)
In partnership with Tabb Middle School, AGGO delivers an interactive, youth-led leadership development experience designed to engage, equip, and empower middle school youth.
Mental Health Awareness
During Mental Health Awareness Month, AGGO hosted a virtual forum featuring mental health experts and participated in community fundraising efforts. Members also joined the Bacon Street Youth and Family Services Mental Health Walk — earning the “Best Dressed Team” award — while encouraging sorors to practice daily wellness through walking, meditation, and self-care activities.
Our Seniors
AGGO uplifts and supports its senior members by offering technology assistance and celebrating their contributions throughout the year to ensure they remain connected, valued, and engaged.

Sister Circles
AGGO members participate in small peer-support groups that encourage progress toward savings, investing, and philanthropic goals.
Supporting Women Entrepreneurs
The chapter actively recognizes, promotes, and celebrates women-led businesses to support economic empowerment among women.
Black Dollar Days
Each June, AGGO members intentionally support Black-owned businesses, products, and brands to help strengthen economic sustainability within the Black community.
Enhance Our Environment
Advancing Environmental Stewardship
​Tree Planting
Members planted trees at Shiloh Baptist Church in York County to support beautification and environmental health.

Home Gardens
Several members maintain home gardens and share their knowledge to inspire sustainable practices within the sisterhood.

Waste Reduction Initiatives
AGGO participates in recycling efforts including large-scale plastic bag collection, contributing to meaningful waste reduction.

Shredding and Electronics Recycling
Members engage in secure paper shredding and electronics recycling programs to protect the environment and promote responsible disposal habits.




Advocate for Social Justice

​Voter Education, Registration, and Mobilization
AGGO hosts workshops on voter rights, registration, and restoration of rights, and distributes educational materials to encourage informed civic participation.

Public Policy Forum
The chapter convenes local, state, and federal representatives for community discussions designed to educate, engage, and empower citizens on key policy issues.

Public Servant’s Guide
AGGO compiled a guide showcasing women of color currently serving in political leadership roles and outlining pathways for members and community members interested in pursuing public service.

AGGO continues to develop initiatives that uplift our local community through service, education, and seasonal support. The chapter maintains a strong partnership with The GLOWW Center, providing joy, essential supplies, and meaningful outreach to families during the holiday season and throughout the year.
